buy a pair of Tom's forever now and I finally just did! I can't wait for the Little Tom's to sell in the states. Soon they say!!!

Something I want to remember...

Today was uneventful, rainy and cold. It would have been nice to mow the lawn, cook out and run through the sprinklers, but instead we had a pretty laid back day. The kids got up early (surprise surprise) and played together in Bella's room which is typical fashion for those two. I made some extra yummy french toast and we were able to have an unhurried breakfast together at the table. Then, somehow we all ended up in our room in our bed tickling the kids as they giggled repeatedly. Bella told a once upon a time story about King Tristoo, Queen Ahoo, Isabooboo, her "little bother" little JuJu and their dog Feeliqapoopoo. Then Tristan said "This is what it's all about." Boy was he right. I've caught myself lately trying to freeze time by holding something in my head and remembering these times. Sadly they go by too fast and we will wake up and have grown up kids. So I'm trying to remember that they are precious, even when Jude unrolls the whole roll of toilet paper down the hallway or whines for a snack. And when Bella talks to us like she owns the place and knows it all! I am so proud of who they are. Jude told me the other day "Mama...I keep you forever and ever". Then tonight while laying with Bella I was commending her for helping me so much and being such a good sister. I told her I was so proud of who she is and that I loved her so much. She said "Mommy, it's not all me. I can't do it without God's help. He's my best friend more than anyone." I have so much to learn from you baby girl. It's never a serious moment with her b/c she then proceeded to hum "Pipeline" (the surfer song) and began to surf her shadow surfboard on the shadow waves on her wall. What could be better than this :)

My monkeys already have the boring graco boosters. I like that the boosters themselves have a latch system. Cute too!

Spring has spring this time....

I am so happy! Happy that it's spring. Happy the gray clouds have disappeared. Happy to have veggies growing in our backyard. Happy to have 2 smiling, giggling, dancing kids that are happy it's spring. I am not happy that I had to turn the air conditioner on today. And yes, I HAD to. I know, I'm a wimp. But I'm happy. Happy to walk into a cool house that doesn't feel stale, stagnant and muggy! We spend a lot of time outside lately so we will keep the outside out :)

You'll notice in this mini home video that Jude got a new bike. He was very insistent in telling us that his new bike was not stable and he didn't think he could ride it (hence shaking it back and forth). But with training wheels and daddy holding on, he managed ;)

Lon + Tracy + Talen + Cory

My good friend Tracy asked me to take her son Talen's Senior Pics and I jumped at the chance! First of all I love her to death and second of all she has the sweetest family. They were crackin' me up the whole time. I must say, I feel quite old with Talen graduating. He was just a little guy when I met him and I think Cory was Judes age. Time flies... Her husband Lonnie is an an amazing Flamenco guitarist and I mean amazing. He's playing at Q'Doba on Cherry Street Friday night and we might just have to mozey on over there with the kids ;) Love you guys! Enjoy your slide preview (ok, I know I sound like a big ol' dork when I write posts. Just want you all to know that I am aware of it :)

Not much to say...wish I was better at writing.

Today was a pretty crazy day. First of all, we went to do a little thrifting and came across a woman carrying a 6 month old baby and she was in tears. She approached us asking if we new how to get somewhere, which we did and it happened to be pretty far away from where we were. She then proceeded to tell us that she just moved hear yesterday from Michigan and her friends ended up abandoning her and her baby. We offered her a ride to North Tulsa and then when we were almost there, she asked if we could take her to west Tulsa to a family member's house. She was so nice and her poor baby had an ear infection. Who abandons a woman with a baby? I couldn't believe her friends just dropped her off. I think there was more to the story, but we just wanted to make sure they were going to be ok. Anyways, the kids got a life lesson. The woman didn;t even have a car seat for her baby and so we explained to Bella about making good choices and thinking things through.

Anyways, we came home and the kids played out side. Jude flipped out of the swing and landed face first scratching his nose pretty good. Then Bella smacked her shoulder on the door jam while running through the house, which left a goose egg on her shoulder. Then we took them on a bike ride only to have Bella fall and scrape up her knee and foot. It was just one of those days! Tomorrow will be better.

Our new credenza from Mod 50's Mod (well...we've had it for awhile). I love it! Tristan ordered the chairs from IKEA and I bought the rug at Target. We still have lots to do though...
