Four more days...
until we have to say goodbye to some very good friends. We have loved them for the past 6 years and now it's time for them to go...it's a sad sad time.
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Desmond, Locke, Sayhid, Claire, and even you Ben I bid you farewell. I'll have my tissues on hand for Sunday and will miss you terribly.

A recipe...Yippeee!
I hope I don't get in trouble for this because it is not, I repeat, is not my recipe. My super talented chef sister in law made it up and passed it along. It's so delicious, as well as gluten free. You can make it vegan and raw by omitting the chicken, but we like us some meat around here ;) We don't really have picky eaters anymore in this household, but I did think the kids might not love it so when I made the chicken I left a little out for them. I served them the chicken with some basmati rice and gave them the salad on the side. They surprisingly ate it! So here ya go....
Asian Chicken Salad by Celeste Vaught
1 bag of brocoslaw (I got mine from Whole Foods)
carrots, red/yellow/orange/green peppers julienne cut (use any ones you like)
celery diagonally cut
green onions
sugar snap peas 1/2" diagonally cut
cashews (I used raw organic)
water chestnuts (optional-bleh)
cucumber julienne cut (optional, but yummy)
Asian sesame dressing (below)
cooked chopped chicken
cilantro (out of our herb garden)
fresh minced ginger
fresh minced garlic
gluten free soy sauce
Put about 1-2 T of cooking oil in a skillet and heat to a medium heat. Place the chicken in the skillet. Sprinkle with soy sauce, minced garlic, minced fresh ginger and brown for a few minutes & turn. When cooked, put a lid on it and set aside.
Mix veggies in a large bowl. Toss with dressing and chop up cooked chicken and toss into salad. Then add the cashews and chopped cilantro.
To make the dressing:
2 T brown sugar
2 tsp. gluten free soy sauce
1 T sesame oil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 T rice vinegar
1 T sesame seeds toasted
(I doubled the ingredients to have enough for the salad)
Mix everything together and there you have it!

Judanese.
That's what we call Jude's other language. I can't even begin to spell it out or speak it, but let me just say it is pretty darn cute. He asked me how I did something today so I explained. He then tells me "wow mama, that's ingenious!". He also rhymes everything he says these days. That's pretty darn cute too. Oh, and he's really cute when you're trying to take pictures of him.
FINALLY!
So I passed the camera off to aunt Celeste. I wanted a "good" picture with my baby too! So this is what I got...
Oh well...maybe next time. I sure do love the little stinker though. His sister's pretty great too ;)
A few more from Uncle Marcus' reception. I didn't get any from the actual wedding, they had a professional for that ;)

Take me out to the ballgame...
Take me out to the crowd. By me some hot dogs and dip n' dots. I don't care if we spend a lot. For it's root, root, root for the home team. If they don't win, who's playing the game? For it's 10, 30, 50 dollars you've spent at the old ball game.
That about sums up our night at the new Driller's stadium. It's awesome, it truly is. In fact, we had such a good time visiting with friends and eating that we have no idea who won and who was playing, well of course the Drillers were. I'm thinking next time we will eat dinner BEFORE we go to the game. We bought general admission tickets for $5 a piece. Then spent $30 on 2 waters, 4 hot dogs, and 2 small dip n dots. Good times ;)

Why oh why is it so hard for me to blog these days! I have so much o blog over the next day or two and hopefully I will get around to it. It requires some time in front of photo shop editing so it may be awhile. In the meantime, I have a newborn session to share from almost two months ago. My good friend Steph had a baby boy and I kid you not he looks so much like his big brother I swear she had twins 6 years apart. He's a dandy, that's all I can say :)
At the hospital...not even 1 day old.
Oh, and here's big brother and their cousin, Trinidy.
